The following coursework requirements are needed to transfer into Illinois State University's BSN program. These must be completedprior to admissioninto the College of Nursing, but are not required at the time of application.
Below is the list of nursing prerequisites. Courses require a C or better to fulfill the requirement. Course numbers listed relate to the Illinois State University course catalog. The institution you are transferring from maybe catalog their equivalent courses differently. For course equivalents, please refer to ourtransferability resourcesbelow.

Priority admission consideration is given to applicants with a greater number of prerequisites completed with exemplary grades.

Work closely with anacademic advisor at your current college or universityto determine what courses you need and build a plan that prepares you for transferring to ISU. When you speak with your advisor, tell them you will need: (1) IAI general education requirements to transfer to 4-year university and (2) equivalent courses for ISU's 9 nursing prerequisites.
Please note that you do not need all coursework complete at the time you apply; it just needs to be done by the time you start the program.

Accepted applicants who complete prerequisite courses that transfer into Illinois State University as a major elective or non-major elective instead of as the Illinois State University prerequisite course numbers listed above may preparea Transferability Formand submit itto Mennonite College of Nursing for review. Information received will be reviewed by the Associate Dean for Student Services. Transferability Forms available via download below or by calling (309) 438-7400. This form must also be completed for nursing courses completed at another bachelor-level nursing college.No evaluation can be made of any courses, however, without a completed application.
